Will Amazon Kindle DX or Barnes And Noble Nook Save News Papers?

We seriously doubt that either of these devices (Nook or Kindle) or any other device will save the local paper. Why do we think this? Because papers will not change. They cant get the concept that they should be giving the news to the world for free and making money by advertising. Just like the rest of us.
Over the last couple years with the Boston Globe almost closing and other papers shutting down we keep hearing about how papers will be delivered to readers. Some of the execs we hear are thinking the Nook or Kindle DX are the future. OK big boss man. You want me to buy a $200.00 tablet and pay for a subscription just to read your paper. Yea right, know one is going for that except for people with money to burn.
Really what does a News Paper offer these days? well mostly opinionated commentary on a news story and agenda's of that paper. People are done with that. We are tired of papers like the NY Times thinking their poop doesn't stink and we should think like them.
In short any publisher who thinks they can sell content on the Internet are going down. People will buy Kindle and Nook to read books, not to pay for the papers agenda.
This is a personal blog written when I fell like it. If you don't like what we say then go elsewhere. The only News Paper I have seen in the last couple years that will make it is The Vail Daily. Its free, relevant and makes money.
